Montreal-based alt-punk band Family Man is a relentless force, known for their high-energy performances and unfiltered, dynamic sound. Blending the raw intensity of punk with anthemic power-pop hooks, the band has built a reputation for chaos that somehow always lands on its feet. Their live shows—described as “watching a never-ending car crash that blissfully lands on its wheels every time”—have captivated audiences across North America and Europe, proving that Family Man thrives where unpredictability meets precision.

Comprised of 5 members from the LGBTQ+, Indigenous, Jewish and/or Filipino communities, Family Man is a group of individuals driven to break sonic and social barriers by providing safe spaces for all within the punk and punk adjacent scene, as well as continually promoting inclusion and diversity across all mediums of art.

Their 2024 debut album, ICONOCLAST, established them as a breakout act in the heavier music scene, amassing 150,000+ streams and selling over 500 vinyl copies. The record tackled themes of sexuality, religion, trauma, and death, pushing sonic and lyrical boundaries while maintaining a sharp, tongue-in-cheek edge. Now, with their upcoming release, Family Man is poised to expand their sound even further.
"Exploding into their first song, singer Conner Root began with a manic barrage of lyrics accompanied by the band playing at a fever pitch. Within seconds they were already impossible to ignore and seemed to exude an aura that demanded your attention."
J’aime leur musique qui est un mélange entre Foo Fighters et Idles. Il y a une énergie punk dans les couplets et un refrain clair et rock, c’est vraiment à la crème.
